Your Pathway to Being an Adlerian Play Therapist &
Registered Play Therapist

As of July 2021, we will begin transitioning from the Certificate in Play Therapy to the
Adlerian Play Therapy Certification.

This is also in line with the informed upcoming changes to the Registered Play Therapist requirements by APTS.

Please refer to the chart below illustrating the changes.

  • Those currently in progress on the Certificate in Play Therapy will be given an opportunity to complete it or to switch over to the Adlerian Play Therapy Certification.

  • However, given the changes of APTS's requirements soon to take effect, the Certificate in Play Therapy will no longer be sufficient to becoming a registered play therapist.

  • Module 1 - Introduction to Play Therapy remains the best place to get a wholistic overview and hands-on experience to start your play therapy journey, and will help you make the best informed decision of the direction to take that suits your personal style and preference. Whether it be doing Adlerian Play Therapy with us or one of the other available approaches, we want to help you save time and resources in getting to you towards your end goal!
